ISO 9001:2026 is published
The sixth edition replaces ISO 9001:2015, with a three-year transition for certified organisations. It brings climate considerations into the core requirements and sharper expectations on managing change. We run transition gap reviews, update training and transition audit support.

Making quality controls consistent across high-volume rebar production, so every batch reliably meets BS 4449 and ASTM A615 product requirements.

ISO 9001 FAQ
Does AEC issue the ISO 9001 certificate?
No. Certificates are issued by independent certification bodies accredited by UKAS, DAkkS or an equivalent national accreditation body. AEC prepares your organisation for that audit and supports you through Stage 1 and Stage 2.
How long does ISO 9001 certification take?
Typically 6 to 9 months from a standing start, 4 to 6 months where basic systems exist, and 3 to 5 months for transition or integration work. Scope, number of sites and current maturity drive the timeline.
We hold ISO 9001:2015. What do we need to do?
Accredited ISO 9001:2015 certificates are no longer valid after 30 September 2029. Start with our ISO 9001:2026 transition checklist (PDF and Excel). We start with a gap review against the new edition, update affected processes and documented information, retrain internal auditors, and support the transition audit with your certification body.
Can ISO 9001 be combined with other standards?
Yes. ISO 9001 shares its structure with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001 and other management system standards, so they can run as one integrated system with one policy, one risk register and one audit programme.
